Benchmark results
First of 14, and ahead of Humanize AI Pro on all six detectors
In the October 2026 HumanizerBench cycle, a public monthly benchmark, WriteHuman ranked #1 of the 14 humanizers tested with a 74.89 composite. Humanize AI Pro finished fifth at 68.87. It is WriteHuman's fourth straight cycle at #1, earned on its entry-level Basic plan with zero quality penalties, while Humanize AI Pro took a penalty.
This cycle the detector panel grew to six with the addition of Pangram, and each output is now scored on the average of all six verdicts, so a tool has to get past every one of them to score well. WriteHuman came out ahead of Humanize AI Pro on all six: GPTZero, Winston AI, ZeroGPT, Copyleaks, Originality.ai, and Pangram.

GPTZero
The top GPTZero score of the cycle
GPTZero is one of the first detectors most writers check, and the gap between these two tools there is hard to miss. WriteHuman passed GPTZero on 99.5% of October 2026 HumanizerBench tests, the highest GPTZero score of the 14 humanizers in the cycle. Humanize AI Pro passed 54.6%.
WriteHuman also posted the top marks in the field on two more of the best-known detectors: 100.0% on both Winston AI and Originality.ai, against Humanize AI Pro's 96.1% and 85.7%.

By content type
Ahead on all four content types compared
On the four content types compared in the October 2026 cycle, WriteHuman came in ahead of Humanize AI Pro on all of them: news articles 99.2% to 72.0%, marketing copy 88.2% to 59.7%, blog posts 84.7% to 59.0%, and discussion posts 93.2% to 75.0%.
Marketing copy and blog content are where most humanizer output ends up, and margins that wide show up at publishing volume as fewer pieces that come back flagged and fewer manual passes before anything goes live.

The detector gap
Its own score is not the score that counts
A clean reading inside any tool's own checker does not change what GPTZero, Originality.ai, or Copyleaks report on the same passage. Averaged across all six detectors in the October 2026 cycle, Humanize AI Pro's AI-detector pass rate was 63.4%, against WriteHuman's 88.8%. After GPTZero, the widest single-detector gap is on Copyleaks: WriteHuman passed it 93.3% of the time, Humanize AI Pro 70.5%. WriteHuman also beat Humanize AI Pro on ZeroGPT, 89.5% to 73.2%.
WriteHuman is built around that problem. The built-in AI detector is tuned to closely match GPTZero, Originality.ai, Copyleaks, and Winston AI, and it sits in the same view as the humanizer, so the score you see is close to the score the external tools will report.
